First Date
" What will she think of me? Will he like me? I hope I don’t make a fool of myself..."
Two strangers drove into the parking lot of a local Starbucks on that nice fall November day. Both full of excitement, anticipation and a touch of apprehension. What will she think of me? Will he like me? I hope I don’t make a fool of myself. As the two exited their vehicle and started to approach the entrance, their eyes met. He’s cute. She has a great smile. I wonder if that is her/him? A sigh of relief come to both when they realize they are the individual the other was looking to meet. After the initial greetings are dispensed, the night flies away; laughing, smiling and great conversation steals the night away. Before long the couple realizes the coffee shop is getting ready to close and their first date must come to an end. A parting kiss concludes the evening. As each walks away, they wonder – Will I see them again? Will this be the start of something more? Only time would tell…….
